(she also runs five minute romance.)	mister fujiyama loves you #3 $1quarter1.8oz*81pp this is sheena's first zine in over a year, and a great outcome. super homemade & great cut & paste, included in this issue are drawings, prose, a bunch of sweet haikus, journals, and much much more. reading this and looking at all the pages made me feel like i was going through her scrapbook or journal, actually seeing who she is (or who the part of her is that's in this zine) without a glossed-over, edited to perfection boring old lie of a zine. this one hits the spot.

pink poodle #6 [new york, ny] $1quarter1.7oz38pp this is the 6th issue of my OWN zine. in this april/may 2001 issue, i write about my best friend's wedding*, chocolate genius, a "letter"(rant) to mainstream media about body image, confession of my passion for the bsb,rant on the "conformity" or "punk", interview with matt of nosedive, zine reviews, poetry, grrl bike messengering, and more. (the scan of the cover turned out pretty bad--that's a kewpie doll pressed against a xerox machine in case you were curious).	pink poodle #10 [new york, ny] $1.50quarter1.2oz62pp it took five months to put this one out, but i thought it was worth it. inside this brand spankin' new issue of pink poodle, busy phillips, bookshopping with jimmy fallon (no joke), nerd (and meeting pharell), the list of where & how i ran into the twenty celebrities i happened to whilst walking the streets of new york, how to silkscreen when yr short on cash, how this zine is made, the story behind the title, why high school's such a drag (and school in general), my dad's appearance on regis & kelly due to a cell phone incident (funny story - he wrote it), sept 11th eleven months after the fact, and tons more.
the pleiades #6 $2half1.7oz38pp [spokane, wa]* miranda's zine is beautifully written and gives you a peek inside of her head, or at least the part that she wants you to see. this issue is subtitled "seduction theory", and in the intro she sums it up as "this is all about seduction, art, identity, love, seduction. it's about the ways i seduce you and me and the world, and vice-versa. this seduction is fierce, is powerful, is my feminism, is my politics, my love, my life, my strenght, my confusion."	preternatural .50¢half-legal0.5oz14pp [indianapolis, in*] jon delz' minizine, preternatural, is a continous story of his battle with depression and self-mutilation. a good read, however, may be triggering.
ptbh! #10 $1half1.6oz*34pp to clear up any, uh, confusion, it says right on the cover: "ptbh!: if you're not spitting, you're not saying it right" hah. and so goes rex's latest issue of ptbh! detailing his trip south to rescue his van. there's no filler in this one, every page was crafted to tell his story. great travel zine.
